Any income earning, stable individual, couple or family can apply to become
a Temporary Safe Care and Foster
Parent and LOVE a child.

A registered social worker will
interview you and visit your home
before approval of application
All applicants will be trained
and screened before being able
to receive a child
Parents will register for either:
Emergency Parent (weekends only)
Temporary Parent (up to 6 months)
Foster Parent (up to 24 months)
Parents will be provided with
(if available or needed)
(1) Start up kit (2) Follow up kit
(3) Qualified day nanny
(4) Qualified night nanny
(5) Medical Care and Vaccinations
(6) Temporary Education Enrollment

Individuals must be: financially, medically, emotionally stable and will be given all required documents on the Information Days.

Attend Information Day
Screening Interview
Home visit | Training Day
Sexual offender’s clearance (Form 30)
Proof of income
Appear in court the first and last day of placement
